I’m a pet parent who became a certified dog trainer. I have over 30 years’ experience in the dog industry ranging from the conformation ring to working with rescue dog. I used positive reinforcement when training as well as shaping to achieve the behavior goal. I offer a wide variety of class in home or group. My motto a well mannered dog is a happy dog!

Starting as a rescue dog adopter, I transitioned into rescue work and now work as a Trainer. With a lifelong passion for animals, especially dogs, I’m dedicated to offering effective solutions for my clients’ training needs. Using balanced techniques, I foster a harmonious training relationship with each dog and owner. Behavioral rehabilitation is my forte, aiming to unlock every dog’s full potential. Having faced challenges with my own dogs, I’ve devoted my career to educating and training others for stress-free relationships with their furry companions.

Rachel

Professional Dog Trainer, AKC CGC Certified

I’m a pet owner and service dog handler turned Trainer and the Trainers Trainer. In a prior role I was responsible for training the company trainers. My passion lies in seeing our furry friends succeed. I’m an Operant conditioning based trainer using a Least Intrusive Minimally Aversive or LIMA approach. I am an AKC CGC Certified Trainer who loves running group classes and private lessons where I get to see your pets light bulb go off when they nail a new skill!

					We recently had the pleasure of working with Rachel as a dog trainer and sitter for my two beloved pups, Primmy and Dolly, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. Rachel's attentiveness was remarkable; she truly took the time to understand the unique needs and personalities of our dogs. Her communication was outstanding, providing daily updates and videos that put my mind at ease while we were away.



Rachel's focus on addressing urgent areas of improvement was impressive. She tailored her training approach to target specific issues, and the results were immediate. Primmy and Dolly showed noticeable improvement from the start, especially with their leash walking.

					As a new pup owner, I wanted to make sure my puppy was set up to be a good canine and companion. I reached out to Allison to learn more about the board and train program and she instantly put me at ease, she runs a great model of training one pup a time in her home with her family and pets (unlike some programs where there are multiple dogs being trained at the same time). Allison was able to focus on a few key things I was hoping to have addressed, as well as teaching my pup the basic commands and reinforcing potty training. She also worked with her on being on the leash and reacting to new people/pets when out and about. Allison was great about giving me updates every 48 hrs as to my pup’s progress (including photos), both what she was doing well on and where she was struggling. She was quick to respond to questions and provide clarity. When I picked up my pup, she had mastered her basic commands and Allison walked me through how to reinforce training/continue working with my pup at home. She also sent me a wonderful Word doc that outlined all the things I may need to know.  I was a little nervous about sending my sweet puppy away, but she came back her wonderful self with better mastery of her commands. Allison and the team at Peticularly Perfect are fantastic at their craft and I’m so grateful they offer such tailored services. I whole heartedly recommend them to dog owners looking to train their dogs!
